lost pet info

I have a pretty depressing request. Does anyone know if there is a way to get information on whether an animal has been hit on a certain street and possibly picked up by the police etc? Our cat has been missing for 6 days and his collar was found lying on the side of the road...

All I can suggest is calling the non-emergency number for the Somerville Police (assuming that's where you are) and asking them if they know who to call, or if they have a record on whether they called Animal Control to pick up a cat.

I hope that someone else here can be more helpful, but that's all I got.

Thin hope would be that the cat slipped its collar and is shut up in someone's basement or crawlspace? Did you flyer around the area?

I'm so sorry for this terrible situation.
