Green Line Extension Meeting
Nov. 12th, 2008 08:22 amThose of us to the north and east of Davis Sq might be interested to know that InsideMedford reports that today, "The next Green Line Project Advisory Group meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 12, from 4PM to 6PM at New Parish Hall at St. Clement’s High School at 579 Boston Avenue in Medford." I hope some fans of mass transit will be able to attend and make sure everything's awesome.

Date: 2008-11-13 03:56 am (UTC)The next round of public input meetings will start in January, and those meetings will be held in the evening. (As I recall from earlier this year, they start at about 6:30 or 7pm)
BTW, the meeting was packed today by general public due to the hot topics of the proposed maintenance facility location and Union Sq spur alignment on the agenda. We were told at the meeting that the reports presented today will be posted on the project website tomorrow (http://www.greenlineextension.org/). On that website you can get reports from all the prior meetings and and preliminary station location drawings.
Awesome!
Date: 2008-11-14 03:45 am (UTC)I'm new to the area and to the prospect of the green line being extended to Medford and Somerville. Can anyone clue me in on when this project would start/be completed or at least point me in the direction of where I can find this type of info?
