It seems like it is your position, to more than just feralnerd: you want to let a community claim some sort of a vested interest in how a private property owner manages their property, and have the community have a say in it.

Under the current laws, which you are perfectly welcome to try and have changed, you can't do that - you have to have community ownership of the land you wish to control.

Or alternatively you need to establish an 'easement', a concept mentioned earlier in this thread.
