This event originated at the Dilboy VFW years ago, but moved to Boston because it got too large. I believe the Magpie folks are still involved with it.

There's a fine balance between letting the community be flooded with ads for faraway events, and over-policing it to keep it strictly local. But the Bazaar Bizarre has a proud Davis Square history, even though it has outgrown its local roots. Of the nine listed organizers and volunteers, three are from Magpie.

i've been going for quite a few years now, even back when it was at the ywca but outgrew [thankfully] that location as well. i've got some awesome johnny cupcake stuff from before they blew up that everyone always asks about, and usually do the bulk of my holiday shopping here.

it's really too bad i'm so broke this year :(
