The modded one that's got an extra third wheel in the front? I usually see that pulling in and out of the station in Union Square. Honestly I think it's hilarious looking, so I have to restrict the urge to point and laugh each time.
if it's got a 3rd wheel, then it's not a Segway. it's a cheap, crappy rip-off that doesn't even balance itself like a Segway does (hence the 3rd wheel).
The one I've seen is slightly different from that picture, I think. I remember it having a smooth front, where the cowling covered the swivel for the third wheel.
The mall security guards at the Cambridgeside Galleria ride Segways. I usually giggle when I see them (though I guess they are more visible that way...)

Date: 2008-12-16 02:39 pm (UTC)the Segway (http://www.segway.com/) starts at around $5,500 for the i2, and goes up to around $6,000 for the x2.
so the T3 costs twice as much, and is a shittier machine.
just sayin'.
