Tire repair? Recommendations
Dec. 29th, 2008 10:03 amI like to use local businesses, and hate sitting in traffic. Does anyone have a recommendation for a tire place near Davis, in this case to fix a flat.
I tried searching here, but didn't see it already discussed.
Thank you...

Date: 2008-12-31 03:24 pm (UTC)I checked out online tire prices, and I could perhaps have saved a few bucks, but not a lot, with a fair amount of effort. I'd rather Arco took all the profit than just scraped a few dollars on fitting charges, with the rest going to a big online company. It was good to check online for tire reviews though. It confirmed my feelings about how bad my current (OEM) tires were, and helped me choose a different tire.
I expect I'll be using Arco again.

And they're good people whom I feel positive about giving my money to (and confident about trusting my cars with) when I'm not able to do the repairs myself.

I would have liked a word of apology, but other than that, it is probably just one of those things.
