TV signal

First post of 2009! Sorry it's such a lame one.

Does anyone else have Comcast cable tv and suddenly get no reception today? I'm kinda worried that it might be that digital switchover thing. On the whole I'd rather it were the weather. Or, like, just me.

i'm in Medford, and mine seems fine. Comcast's website keeps assuring me I don't need to change anything.

The digital switchover only affects people who use an antenna to get their TV. If you have cable, it's all good.

...Unless you have RCN or another cable company that requires you to have a digital box.

Ah, I guess the reason I hadn't heard that is that I have Comcast. I'd hope RCN would be alerting their customers!

Well, I have Comcast, and I have never heard anything that suggests I need to do anything. Yes, something funky happened with our router, but we're back in civilization now. ;-)

Around 1:30am, I saw a bunch of comcast trucks / crews working on lines off of college ave, might have something to do with that...

No, that's okay. :) I thought it was funny because we actually watch so little tv, that when I discovered the lack of signal, I realized that it could have been several days already. I had to think really hard to figure out when was the last day I actually turned it on and saw a signal. LOL!

Several Boston-area neighborhoods are reporting Comcast internet outages. Does your Comcast internet work OK, just not the TV?
