Local Snowfall amount?

Does anyone know a website where I can find out how many inches of snow fell in Davis Square or Cambridge/Somerville.   I'm always wondering how many inches of snow I'm shoveling (or when I'm out of town) and whether the weather forecasters were correct.

You can't just find a still area of the car or lawn and measure? That's what we do.

i've found that to be too variable when it's been really windy, as it was all yesterday's blizzard -- hard for me to pick a "still" area....

Yeah. Even the previous storm, which wasn't all that windy, depth varied by several inches between my front and back yards.

Wunderground seems to have a good list of snowfall by location at the bottom of the page.

I don't think this has snowfall totals, but there is a weather station on top of the Brown School (corner of Willow and Kidder) that provides info to www.weatherbug.com

Won't necessarily help for yesterday, but the National Weather Service Climatological Data (http://www.weather.gov/view/prodsByState.php?state=ma&prodtype=climate) updates a couple of times a day with snowfall totals in various parts of the state.
