Has anyone paid to have stairs carpeted recently?

Looking into prices to carpet the entrance hall stairway of a 3-family house/condo.

Can anyone suggest good installation companies or what might be a reasonable cost for such project?

I don't have personal experience with getting carpet installed, but when I want to get a baseline price for something I usually call Home Depot and ask how much their installation service would be.

We're in the process of doing so from B&D House of Carpets in Burlington. They've been fab so far (on two previous jobs), but we've never done anything so complex as our weird custom stairs before. Letcha know in a couple of weeks?
