Jan. 3rd, 2009 01:52 pmSo I was passing the Goodwill this morning on the 96 bus, and there was definately a fire truck and some medics and they were covering a dead body up in the crosswalk...Was I seeing things? Does anybody know what happened?!

Date: 2009-01-08 07:42 pm (UTC)If Grove were a one-way street going towards Elm, I think it would decrease, at least a little bit, the danger to pedestrians. Outside of that, at least put a stop sign. (A traffic light there would be too much, though.)
Cutter and Highland (by Kick Ass / Pigs Fly) is pretty dangerous too.

Date: 2009-01-12 11:22 pm (UTC)A stop sign would waste a heck of a lot of gas, and wouldn't necessarily make things safer. A traffic light would waste a lot of time for both drivers and pedestrians.
I'd like the city to get a traffic engineer to figure out why (or if) this particular crosswalk is so much more dangerous than other similar ones in the area.
