Tufts Pool

I've searched through the memories, and the numbers to call on the Medford City Hall website were disconnected.  I'm a new Medford resident, and wanted to take advantage of the Tufts Pool.

Does anyone know the phone number to call in reference to getting a membership to the Tufts Pool?  Or when I can go there to get a ID?
Thanks!

We don't do memories here, but we have lots of tags. I tagged this post swimming. These two posts may be useful:

I imagine the numbers only work when the pool is open (end of June through end of August). I think they have times to get IDs at the beginning of the season.

It's outside, so that would be very chilly :)

I think you may be confusing the city of Medford's Tufts Pool (which is an outdoor pool maintained by the city) with the pools at Tufts University?

Yeah this is a summer thing. I normally buy the pass for Wright's Pond, not the pool, so I know less about that. The start offering passes in May, I think. The pond is open late June through Labor Day weekend.

For the pond, you need to bring your car registration and $25. It's a good deal. There are paths to walk on, a fairly clean beach, lifeguards whenever it's open, changing rooms and bathroom, and a place to get burgers and ice cream. Not many people take advantage of it, and so it's sort of a hidden treasure. I drop by for a half hour swim after work, since they are open until 1/2 hour before dusk.

Medford Town Hall is open until 7:30 pm on Wednesdays, which is nice.

What do Medford residents without cars do if they want to swim in the pond?

When I get the car pass, I also get a walk-on pass that allows three visitors to walk on to the beach.

If you don't have a car, you can purchase a walk-on pass.
