My apologies if you're the one whose lawn chair I ran over (and over) and then parked on, but you shouldn't leave garbage in a public parking spot.

I hate that reserved parking shit.

I (happily) moved here from NYC, and I couldn't begin to fathom what would happen in Manhattan if you tried to "save" a parking space.

Nonetheless, I try to respectfully dissuade people from moving stuff. If you move it, and I come along and see an open spot, I park there not knowing something was reserving it. If I get my tires slashed or car otherwise vandalized, well, I'm the hapless victim who's out a lot of money.

You never know what loony could have tried to save that spot.

I really think the City needs to step up their patrol the same way they patrol for other parking violations. Go around with a DPW truck picking up every piece of crap in the road. That way, they have only the city to blame.
