Portugese Restaurants

Hi,
Does anyone know of any great Portugese restaurants in Cambridge or nearby area...there are so many of them on/around Cambridge St. I guess my question is...which one should I choose?

...and any suggestions on dishes to try? (I've never tried Portugese cuisine before).

I've had really yummy food at Atasca--have forgotten the address but I'm sure there are reviews available at the Globe's site.

Seconded, but be warned, it's expensive. There are actually two locations: 50 Hampshire and 279A Broadway. http://www.atasca.com

Um... I think that a dinner for 2 was around $35-40 a few years ago. Haven't been back since.

I second this choice. However, I found the food boring when I went to this place waaaaay back in 1998. But I found their Espesso fabulous...

i usually end up there once a year or so, and have always gotten the seafood special. seafood seems to be their speciality. i remember having some whole fish grilled, and another time shrimp, which had been cooked w/ heads and shells intact. i do enjoy playing with my food. all was tasty.
