Perchance, have you tried the veggie burgers at Four Burgers? Given the limited selection, I (perhaps stupidly) have been feeling reasonably optimistic, though haven't been there yet to confirm.
You actually *can* choose whichever toppings you want, though the menu on their web site does sort of make it look fixed. I think they do make their own, anyway, unlike UBurger and Bartley's, who just use a crappy frozen packaged brand.
I just read they offer free fries when it's snowing, so maybe I'll pop over later this week. :)
Yeah, you can ask for whatever on whatever. The veggie burger is interesting - a bit too uniform texture for me, but flavorful. But the fries are to die for. Yum!
Thanks for posting this. I came here specifically to see if Antonia's might possibly be closed, after finding that their number is out of service and the one link I found to their website didn't work.
My husband and I used to go there on special occasions, and tonight's our 10-year which is why I was checking on it... we have a bad way of somehow killing our special-occasion places with our love. :( So you can all blame us.
I'll really miss their amazing mushroom ravioli and eggplant rolls, and they were also the only place I really enjoyed the gnocci. Sigh.
Closed since at least some time in August. Earlier posts here and here. Maybe the Revere one is still open, but I don't know. Otherwise, maybe try Alfresco instead?

Date: 2009-03-11 03:07 pm (UTC)For my money, the best veggie burger in the area is the Dolmen Veggie Burger at The Burren. It's a vegetable patty with a lot of curry flavor.
