Madoff fraud impact in Somerville - an update

Last month, nvidia99999 asked what impact the Madoff investment fraud would have in Somerville. Since people generally don't read new replies to old posts, I'm making this new post to draw people's attention to this week's Somerville News article:

The two organizations named: Youthbuild USA and our own beloved Somerville Arts Council, specifically its Books of Hope program, a creative writing workshop for local teens.

BTW, talking about threads, I wonder why old threads with new replies don't just rise to the top... Some forums (or fori) are set up that way...

I don't know what you mean by 'rise to the top'. LJ posts are always in reverse chronological order by post time, regardless of comments.

I mean that on some sites there is a list of thread titles. The order of the list is by time of last reply. So, an old thread that has a recent reply may end up higher in the list than a more recent thread nobody replied to. That way, replies to old threads are not ignored... At least, there should be an option to sort by time of last reply.

I don't know how to do that. Maybe one of the other moderators does?
