A national shout-out

In the March 2009 issue of The Atlantic, our very own Kickass Cupcakes gets a bit of a shout-out in an article about cupcakes.

"You have to get over the names. Then you have to get over the novelties, like the rum-soaked Mojito with lime icing and the corn-dog-style mock Twinkie at Kickass Cupcakes, a typically whimsical and cheery shop in Somerville, near Boston."

Ok, not exactly a ringing endorsement, but what was that PT Barnum thing about there being no such thing as bad publicity?

And maybe the folks at KaC can do up a special "Atlantic" cupcake. (and I demand 10% royalties if they do so for coming up with the idea.) ;P

i've had the best luck with anything involving fresh fruit. you can always ask what's most recently out of the oven, too.

(yeah, for chocolate and vanilla i'm still very, very deeply into lyndell's. i live closer to ball sq anyway ;)
