WOOHOO! GREAT DEAL FOR A LUCKY ONE!
$600 a month, Utilities included. First and last month's rent is required.
Rent includes electric, gas, water, internet, and RCN cable.
Move-In Date is May 7, 2009, or later. Because of the later Move-In Date, first month's rent will be $450 which is 3/4 of $600.
~~~Looking for a male or female roommate age 21 or above~~~
--Would consider a very mature 18 - 20 year old--
~~This is a great place to live for a college student.~~
*Ideal for someone without a car who relies on public transportation.
*Sullivan Square station is on the Orange Line and is a five-minute walk from the apartment. There are buses going directly from Sullivan to MIT (the CT2), Harvard University (#86) and all the colleges toward the Fenway area (the CT2). The orange line will take you directly to Downtown Crossing (very near Suffolk University).
You would be a Tenant-At-Will.
~~PHOTOS available upon request~~~
One bedroom (9 feet x 16 feet) with a large closet available in a second floor Somerville apartment.
Common areas include a large kitchen adjacent to an office with cable Internet access. There is one bathroom but you get your own medicine chest with a large storage closet available as well.
Plenty of private storage space in the attic. Laundromat and shops are within walking distance.
There is PERMIT parking only on my street (you can get a parking permit and visitor parking passes from Somerville City Hall in Davis Square). But one street over in Charlestown there is ON-STREET parking available. There is a driveway but the landlord has rented those parking spaces out.
~~~
I have one cat who is very sweet and prefer no other additional pets.
About me: I am a straight, 30-something woman who enjoys working out, hiking, cooking, singing, Boston live theater, films at the Coolidge or at Kendall, reading, drawing, live music, and going out to eat with friends and family. I am an administrative assistant for work and a writer in my free time. I graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in writing.
Please contact me if interested, tell me your age and a little about yourself. I am showing the apartment and room starting Monday, 2/23.
Thank you,
Abbey

Date: 2009-02-21 05:05 pm (UTC)If the move-in date is a week into the month, which has (give or take) four weeks, I'd expect the rent to be roughly 3/4 of $600 for that month.
Good point...

Date: 2009-02-21 05:28 pm (UTC)Why would renting a cable box cost $60/month?
I am also curious to hear how your RCN cable works at this point without a box, since they encrypt pretty much everything. There was quite a to-do over this matter in December.

Date: 2009-02-21 05:33 pm (UTC)My landlord told me if the new room mate doesn't have a cable ready TV they will need a box and an additional box is $60 a month. This is what the landlord told me, OKAY?!

Date: 2009-02-21 09:50 pm (UTC)Also, putting on my mod hat, I have to ask you to put the post back behind a cut. It is long, an ad, and not related to Davis Square. You don't have to delete it, but it should be lj-cut. Thanks.
