I need to bring a salad to a group activity, to feed about 10 folks. No time to make it myself, so I am looking for a Davis Sq place where I can order and pickup a large salad. Any thoughts?

You could always pick up a couple of those "complete salad in a bag" things from the grocery store, like this sort of thing (http://www.dole.com/Products/Products_Detail.jsp?CatGroupID=4&ID=1221). I know that the Shaws in Porter Square carries them. They generally have greens, dressing, and other toppings like nuts/dried fruit/cheese/croutons/whatever.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am looking for something even simpler as I have to pick it up on the way from work to the meeting, and I will have an impatient 3 year old in the car w me!

what kind of salad? Lettuce? Spinach? Potato salad? Macaroni salad?

(many supermarkets sell potato/macaroni/etc type salads from their deli counter, just walk in and tell them you need enough for 10). It'll cost, but hey, time is money. Or, you can buy a couple of bags of baby spinach leaves, and throw in a plastic container of grape tomatoes, bag of croutons, container of crumbled cheese, and dump a small bottle of dressing on top. Mix it all up in a giant plastic (turkey-sized?) bag, dump into a large bowl and you've got a salad.

I know that Dave's Fresh Pasta offers salads as part of their catering selections; perhaps give them a ring & see if they can hook you up?
