Although I have objected to many aspects of the airplane noise complaints, even I concede that it was especially bad this past Sunday, the 8th.

However, I believe this is the first day since when I can actually hear the airplanes (presumably due to this being the first day since when the wind is out of the northwest).

I can hear them today, but it does not seem as loud as the 8th, which leads me to believe that maybe there is an atmospheric component to the noise level. The planes should be taking the same route today as they were on the 8th.

It was posted around 11:30 AM. Planes had been flying over since 6AM or earlier... Obviously intended as a snark. These are the kinds of "tolerant" people who in the past used to tell gay individuals and women to stop whining about being discriminated against by society, that they should just learn to take it like real men.

The plane traffic went down quite a bit the last hour as well- the wind switched to a different direction.

The U2 crowds actually weren't that bad (granted, I do not drive through the Square, I walk; I'm sure the road closures were aggravating to drivers). I was kind of surprised. On the other hand, there wasn't much for them to -do- other than stand around and stare at the theatre.
