I have officially opened my own massage business in Teele Square (which I hope is close enough to Davis to count for this community)!

Located in the Therapy Center for Mind & Body, Free Spirit Holistic Massage offers a soothing and healing blend of Therapeutic Massage, Shiatsu and Polarity. Each session is individually tailored to your needs, whether that be sports massage targetting specific tight, strained or injured areas; massage & energy work to help relieve chronic conditions such as headaches, migraines and fibromyalgia; or a getaway from all of life's stresses.

Rates are as follows:
1/2 Hour - $40
1 Hour - $60
1.5 Hour - $80

And on that note, I am currently offering Polarity & Zen Shiatsu sessions at a discounted price of $30/session (50-80 minutes). The reason I am doing this is that I recently finished courses in these modalities and am looking to perfect my skills before charging full price.

Polarity is a modality based on Ayurveda and other ancient healing arts. It uses very light touch to balance the elements of Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth in your body, so your body can better heal itself. Many clients report that polarity feels very dreamy and relaxing.

Zen Shiatsu is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. It uses compression, stretches and direct pressure along the meridians in the body to balance the elements of Wood, Water, Earth, Fire and Metal. Many clients feel that shiatsu is deeply relaxing and they feel very refreshed and balanced afterwards.

You can come in again. I'm not sure when I'm going to be bumping shiatsu up to full price, but I'll be doing the $30 deal for at least another month.
