Advanced Photoshop Workshop: The Optimized Image - April 4th
Learn how to use Camera RAW tools, convert color photos to black and white, color manage a workflow and add copyright and watermark notations with Photoshop CS3. Tuition: $100
Self-Publishing Your Photobook Workshop - April 7th - May 5th
Review basic concepts of book design, practice editing and sequencing your images, and work with online resources to design your photobook. You'll have created at least one completed book by the end of class. Tuition: $130
Intermediate Photoshop Workshop: Layers & Layer Masks - April 7th - April 21st
Learn how to use layers and layer masks to alter image colors, saturation, brightness and contrast, retouch portraits, add text layers,and create powerful panoramic images with CS3. Tuition: $120
Taking Better Photographs - April 14th - May 19th
Take more interesting and memorable photographs through learning about composition, camera angle perspective, juxtaposition and depth of field as well as other tricks of the trade. Tuition: $145
Illuminated Manuscript Workshop - April 17th
Examine the process of Medieval manuscript production. Through slide presentations, experience a visual survey of illuminated manuscripts from the period of Late Antiquity to the Renaissance. Tuition: $100
The Landscape: An Outdoor Exploration Workshop - April 26th - May 10th
Work out of doors in local natural settings to express the immediate presence of nature in art. Explore the concepts of space, light, content, and atmosphere. All drawing and painting levels are welcome. Tuition: $140
An Evening in Word and Image - April 29th
This unique series pairs visual artist, Vaughn Sills, with writer, Linda Larson, to deepen our understanding of each artist's work and to create an interplay between the artists' images and their words. FREE and open to the public
Medieval Gardens Workshop - May 1st
Trace the history and evolution of medieval gardens in western Europe from the Dark Ages to the Renaissance. Slide images illustrate details of medieval gardeners, their tools, and surprising views of their garden designs. Tuition: $100
