On September 18th, be part of History at the 3rd Annual Boston Oktoberfest and join in celebrating over 180 years of Oktoberfest fun. What started as the marriage of Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese is now the largest beer fest on the planet. Breakout the lederhosen and have fun! The Boston Oktoberfest is located at the Historic Castle at Park Plaza in the Heart of downtown Boston.

Beer Summit is reaching out across the country with one simple goal: to find the best homebrewer in America. The Best of Show (BOS) winner of the Beer Summit Homebrew competition Prizes will not only walk away with bragging rights, but will also claim a $1,000 cash prize and get their beer brewed by Sam Adams! The runner up BOS winner will receive a $250 gift certificate to www.beersummit.com. Additional prizes will also be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each of the 26 categories judged. The Beer Summit Homebrew Competition is a BJCP sanctioned event and will be using their style guide.

Near as I can tell, the worst that will come of this is bragging rights.Just as an aside, the Fair seems like an event that really deserves to have its own post rather than being relegated to a reaction to this one. Trust me, there's room enough for everyone to play.
