Good places?

Hi all! I'm brand new here (moved on Wednesday from Seattle) and I live in between Porter and Davis Square. What are some cool places to check out. Stores, restaurants, coffee shops, anything really. I'm a vegetarian, so any good veggie restaurant suggestions would be appreciated too. Of course places in Cambridge or near the Longwood Medical area are good too.

the diesel cafe in davis square. coffee, tea, pool tables, good sandwiches, and brownies. and lemon squares. and interesting art on the walls.

also i second christopher's for veggie eating-out, and if you like indian there are two indian restaurants in davis - i've only been to diva but they have a huge veggie selection, including a nice (and big!) set dinner. it's not cheap but you get a lot of good food.
