Good places?
Aug. 27th, 2004 01:10 pmHi all! I'm brand new here (moved on Wednesday from Seattle) and I live in between Porter and Davis Square. What are some cool places to check out. Stores, restaurants, coffee shops, anything really. I'm a vegetarian, so any good veggie restaurant suggestions would be appreciated too. Of course places in Cambridge or near the Longwood Medical area are good too.

Anna's Taqueria (on Elm and also in Porter Sq., same building as Pier 1) has a very yummy grilled vegetable burrito, but don't get the rice -- I hear they use chicken stock to make it.
Blue Shirt Cafe has excellent smoothies.
There is a stealth donut bakery at the intersection of Morrison and Highland Road (NOT Highland Ave.). It's unmarked, but you can smell it, and if their door is open, you can walk in and buy fresh donuts for like 25 cents apiece.

aha!
