Good places?

Hi all! I'm brand new here (moved on Wednesday from Seattle) and I live in between Porter and Davis Square. What are some cool places to check out. Stores, restaurants, coffee shops, anything really. I'm a vegetarian, so any good veggie restaurant suggestions would be appreciated too. Of course places in Cambridge or near the Longwood Medical area are good too.

A walk down Massachusetts Ave finds 923490e23 Indian restaurants.

The Elephant Walk (http://www.elephantwalk.com) between Davis and Porter Squares features French/Cambodian cuisine and boasts a vegan menu! Expect to pay over $12-15 for a large meal.

Count a second thumb up for Veggie Planet (http://www.veggieplanet.net/)/Club Passim in Harvard Square. You'll mostly find these yummy pizza squares with non-traditional toppings.

You can't go wrong with anything off of the Boston Vegetarian Society's restaurant list (http://www.bostonveg.org/restaurants/).
