fire in powderhouse circle?

does anyone know what's burning near powderhouse circle?  we drove by and saw a *ton* of firetrucks and police on our way to the gym, and they were still there over an hour later.  we also saw a ton of smoke even blocks away.

Yeah, I was wondering about this too. I saw the cop cars and firetrucks and stuff from the 96 bus around 8:00 this evening. College was blocked off from maybe Kidder to the rotary and so the bus took a detour around the Powderhouse up to Ball Sq. before getting back on College. It looked like the trucks were in front of the new D & D--or something in that plaza. Couldn't say for sure, though.

I hope no one was hurt or anything.

I walked by at 9, lots of fire trucks, cops. no smoke.
I walked by at 11, only an Nstar truck, looked in the windows of all the businesses along college ave and DD and they all looked fine at least. Didn't smell like smoke either..

Hm. . .walking from Powderhouse to the T this morning I didn't see any evidence of a conflagration on College Ave. Mebbe it was on one of the side streets? Or is there something other than a fire that would warrant all those firetrucks and a police blockade?
