Does anyone know where I could buy a small box of these locally?

I can't wait for shipping as I need them by Sunday. Plus, yay local businesses!

Perhaps you can look in a local engineering college's supply/bookstore? Now, the hard part would be to look up a local university, and you can hope and pray that it has an engineering college of some renown associated with it. There just aren't that many colleges in the greater Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area, sad to say. Too bad you don't live near Yale, Princeton or Stanford.....

I was thinking "Chemical Engineers" or maybe pharmacy collages, but I guess a good medical school might have some too.

Over by Harvard Medical School there used to be a drugstore that sold random medical equipment, such as scalpels, that catered to students who lost theirs or something... :-)

That store has been replaced by some fast food restaurant, I believe, but there might be something similar around somewhere else.

Also, try Pearl Craft in Central, or the big box art store at Assembly Square.

If you can't find anything sold locally, we use Fisher Scientific (https://www.fishersci.com/) at work. They have a warehouse in Massachusetts, and when items are in stock at that warehouse, they're usually delivered to me next day (so long as the order is placed by 2 pm). They can usually tell me over the phone whether my item is in stock and where, too. Give them a try at 800-766-7000.

I know it's not your first choice, but hopefully this helps.

Call local medical supply stores to see if they have any in stock. I generally end up at Rosen Pharmacy/Belmont Medical Supply (located here (http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=0,0,6889919978369376106&fb=1&split=1&gl=us&dq=medical+supply+store+belmont+ma&daddr=185+Belmont+St,+Belmont,+MA+02478&geocode=11846934301644938994,42.376450,-71.158375&ei=YRHuScnLAsLO-Aac36y4Dw&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=directions-to&resnum=1)) - (617) 484-3888.

call Gargoyles restaurant and ask for Jason(head chef), I know he's used these with some of his dishes and may have extra, or know where you can purchase the locally.

I had a bunch of these left over from a project and I'm pretty sure they're still around. I could check tonight. How many do you need?

Oh yeah, if they're still around I have, like, 50 or 75. The smallest box I could find was 100!

Well, even the box of 100 was pretty cheap. It just left me with a whole lot of extras! Anyway, is LJ PM a good way to contact you to arrange a pickup if I do, in fact, find those extras tonight?

If she doesn't, I know I have 5-7 to spare.
