CD case reuse/recycling?

I find myself in possession of a few hundred CD cases (without CDs or liner notes). Anyone know of any place (donation center, used CD store) that could use them, or is leaving them in the recycling bin my best option?

Yeah - we have gone through our spare cases by fixing up every broken CD case we've borrowed from the library. They may well be interested.

Gold star to you, sir, and to anyone else (I suppose I should count myself in this bunch) who has nobly stepped up to replace the case of a library CD or two. Or a couple dozen.

Seriously, I've never seen more banged up cases than I have at the library, and with looming budget cutbacks (not that they've ever been sitting on a pot of gold anyhow), they can use all the help they can.

I don't think those are recyclable in Somerville recycling. This place accepts them in the mail but I've not dealt with them: www.cdrecyclingcenter.org

Which I found, by the way, doing a general Google search to confirm my hunch that the type of plastic CD cases is made for shouldn't go in your recycling bin.

when i moved my cd collection to binders, i posted the cd cases to freecycle, and they were snagged by a musician who was doing demos.

Library sounds like a good move. If not that try some of the local record stores like Twisted Village in Harvard Sqr. or Trainspotters. I would take for my online store but I still have plenty.
