A bonfire? In Davis?

My friend just got off at the Davis T stop and reports that there is ash flying around inside and that it smells like a bonfire. We know that there was "fire department activity" (whatever the hell that means) at Charles/MGH earlier, but this does not explain the Davis bonfire.

Can anyone satisfy our curiosity?

I just got off the Red Line at Davis (riding from Park St.) and did not see, hear, or smell anything unusual.
