I'm posting this for my landlord (who has promised me a kickback if I find someone -- did something weird just happen to the housing market?) about an open apt in my building.
A studio (one room) apt for rent, available immediately, one block from Mass Ave, in North Cambridge, near Davis (10min walk), Alewife (15min walk), and Porter (20min walk).
Studio has electric heat, electric hot water, wall-mounted air conditioner, mini-kitchen along one wall (3/4 fridge, 3/4 range w/ 4 burners, sink), full bath (w/ tub), two closets. Hung ceiling. Wall-to-wall off-white carpeting. No other storage, no washer/drier (laudromat 3 blocks away). Two windows. Unusually thick walls, and deep eaves -- I leave my windows open when it rains. Landlord philosophy: benign neglect, though lately there have been a lot of repairs. Place still looks kind of run down. Building is first floor commercial (offices), second floor residential. Five residential units.
I think he's asking $825/mo. Off-street parking is available for extra. No idea about f/l/d.
Please contact me w/ a phone number and hours you can be reached, if interested, and I'll pass them along to him (not a net user, apparently, so I'm not keen on publicising his phone # on line).
