Tom Champion tries to justify parking changes

The Somerville Journal asked Tom Champion some questions about the new parking regulations, which were enacted without advance notice or democratic process by an unelected body, and are set to go into effect on August 1st.

There seems to be some confusion, because the Journal article and the Chamber of Commerce summary don't agree about whether the extension of meters to 10 pm is every day or just Saturdays. The Chamber says it's every day.

Huh. That does change my argument a bit. Or, some of my argument anyway. 10pm every day would be significantly more annoying than 8pm.

The Chamber of Commerce pdf linked from the original DSLJ post quoted the agenda items from the Traffic and Parking Commission meeting, so it is correct.
