Okay, davis_square, Google Maps has failed me, so I turn to you. Best place to look at ergonomic office furniture, ideally out this way, but anywhere T-accessible would do in a pinch? I'm looking for someplace I can actually try the stuff out, rather than shooting in the dark by ordering on-line.

Mostly, I'm looking for funky not-chair chairs -- kneeling chairs or other such options.

staples at fresh pond? i know i've seen kneeling chairs at staples in the past, but i don't know if they still carry them.

Across Fresh Pond Parkway from the Staples there's CIRCLE FURNITURE, which is two stories and has a wide variety of home furnishings, including stuff for the office.

Back before the dot com bust, I bought bookcases and stuff from them - very sturdy, long-term, classy stuff. Kind of expensive for a student budget, though.

Thanks, that sounds like exactly the kind of place I need -- while I don't want to pay more than necessary, I also want something that'll last and really be comfortable. I'll check it out.

There's a used office furniture store on Broadway near McGoun Square. I don't know if it would have the types of chairs you are looking for because the inventory changes constantly. But it might be worth a look.

Most showrooms for furniture sales are not T accessible, but the design center has a few places. Global recently opened up a new showroom there and they have a nice variety of chairs. Typically kneeling chairs are much less popular in the area.

Assuming that by "the design center" you mean http://www.bostondesign.com/ -- I'm looking for someplace where I could potentially buy one office chair at, I dunno, $300 or less, not looking to furnish a corporation. It doesn't look like the sort of place individuals go. But thanks.
