I apologize for frightening you.

When you walked into the crosswalk in front of me, I thought that you would keep going into my lane, so I prepared to go behind you. Instead, you stopped to let me pass, and it seemed like I was aiming for you. You yelled at me, which was only reasonable.

What I should have done is to stop or slow down until it was clear whether you would be in my lane, and then either go in front of you or stop to let you cross. My bad, and again, I'm sorry.

No, she wasn't. She was crossing horizontally, riding directly in front of moving cars. I'm not supposed to yield for someone doing that.

Trust me, I know the difference between someone using a roundabout/rotary correctly and someone being a moron.

In a roundabout where the traffic in the rotary is supposed to yield to the incoming traffic (which is none of the rotaries in Massachusetts), you would be required to stop for the person no matter how perpendicular her path across the rotary was. Roundabouts designed in this way are generally not designed with "merging" in mind as that would create a highly unpredictable traffic situation. Usually they enforce this by making the vehicles in the rotary stop at traffic lights and wait for the vehicles coming in from the sides.

But it's kind of a moot point. This woman was obviously biking in MA and obviously doing exactly the wrong thing entering the rotary this way. She definitely deserved to be honked and sworn at :-)
