Change machine

Hello-- I'm wondering if anyone knows of a change machine in the area-- the kind where you can dump in loose change, and the machine sorts it and gives you bills in exchange? I know supermarkets sometimes have them, but I haven't seen one around... Thanks!

they do have a Coinstar, but call ahead; it goes out of service pretty frequently.

Coinstar (at Foodmaster and Shaws) is OK if you don't mind the 7% cut or getting your $$$ in the form of a giftcard to Amazon, Starbucks, or other places. The best deal I have found if you want actual cash is Brookline Bank- their Coolidge Corner branch has a machine that only charges you 5%, if I remember correctly.

I usually just take the giftcard since I will use it and it doesn't distort my market decisions much.

They have one in Harvard Sq that charges no fee... A friend who works at Harvard did it for me a while back.
