Fireworks?

While walking through the neighborhood between Powderhouse and Teele Square tonight, I heard a long series of muffled loud booms -- like fireworks happening far away. I could not see any fireworks in the sky, and the booms ended at 9:30 pm. Anyone know more?

It's almost 10pm now and I'm still hearing fireworks from the union square area.

Yeah, I was just about to edit the post to say that the booms have started up again.

I had thought they were coming from the Medford-Arlington area, but it's really hard to tell for sure.
