About 30 minutes ago, a bunch of people on bikes came down Cedar St.

It was an interesting scene...music was playing, and there were tall bikes in the mix. The leader had some sort of disco ball.

It was fun to watch, and piqued my curiosity. Does anyone know more about this?

Edit: Thanks for all of the speedy responses. Based on the links, I agree that this was SCUL. I'll keep an eye out for the mission report!

That was probably SCUL (http://www.scul.org/pm/index.php). I hope you high-fived them. :)

Unless you are saying that we should be watching TV :)

Someone asks this same question every so often.

(btw, they went by me on McGrath Highway right after the July 4th fireworks, so I rode along with them for a while to North Point Park and MIT. Mission report is here)

You're a mod, go for it.

Don't a bunch of them live...

At the intersection of Summer St and Belmont St? I remember seeing them coming out of there one night...

That would be Fort Summer or maybe Fort Belmont (I think they both exist).

That was the old main fort location. I don't think anyone living there now rides on SCUL missions anymore. Or only rarely if they do.

Thank you for posting this.

I saw what you described at the intersection of Summer Street and Cedar Street, from a distance, at about 2:00am on the morning of Sunday June 28th, and have been curious ever since.

There were five, and yes, one appeared to have a giant disco ball on their bike, but I couldn't tell what it was.

That was Skunk (http://www.skunkadelia.com/wp/) with the disco ball. He'll be at Artbeat! Go say hi!

My roommate and I drove by them as we were making our way home and it made my night. Randomly awesome.
