One of my go-to theaters has failed me horribly. I'm trying to find a midnight showing of Harry Potter for Wednesday (Tuesday night, I guess). Does anyone know of anywhere that is showing it at midnight? I'd be happy with somewhere a little out of the city, too (I was going to head all the way to Lawrence, so). We've got a car, so somewhere with parking (and stadium seating!) is preferred. So far I've completely struck out. Is it anywhere?

So, help me, Potterfolk!! You're my only hope!!!

[Modly types: not quite sure how to tag this, so it's just under "news" for now. Feel free to change, or tell me what to use.]

I don't have an answer, but I (as moderator) changed the tag to 'entertainment'.

Have you looked at http://boston.mrmovietimes.com/ ? Loews Boston Common or Regal Fenway are probably your best bets.

I've been using Fandango.com, and as far as I can tell, the first showings are Wednesday morning at 10 am.

I'd have expected a Big Event movie like this to have huge ads in the Globe, but there's nothing in either yesterday's paper or today's.

I would check with Fandango as well. I generally use them.
Unless we go to Revere. And they might have one. I think it's a showcase cinema or National Amusements. We see movies there often.

I saw a sign for one this weekend, but unfortunately it was in Sanford, Maine. I hope you can find a closer midnight showing than that.

Showcase Revere seems to have a 12:01 am showing. There's plenty of parking there, too. Stadium seating depends on which particular theater it is.

It's a good theatre and there are still tickets to be had online.

Lots and lots of people will be going to the midnight showing at Boston Commons. :D

Lots, and lots, and lots! When I bought my ticket on Saturday from Fandango, two out of five time slots had already sold out. It's going to be outrageous, and wonderfully so!

I was in Lexington last night and their theater is doing a midnight showing. Enjoy!

I'm not sure I'd want to see a big event movie there, however. That theater is tiny.

Today's Globe movie ads have it showing at or around midnight at Loews Boston Common, Regal Fenway, Showcase Revere, Showcase Woburn, AMC Burlington, and Lexington Flick (as well as other places further away from Somerville).

The Loews Harvard Square ad lists four showings this evening, but the guy who answered the phone there said those are private screenings and that the ad should not have run!
