Local dance lessons

Hidy-ho neighbors!

My fiance and I are getting married soon, and since we live in the Davis area, I'm looking for a local place where we could take some dance lessons to help jazz up our first dance.  I was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions?

Not sure what level of sophistication you're looking for, but Cambridge Center for Adult Ed. has a couples dance class pretty much focused on first dances for weddings and similar events. My now-husband and I took it before our wedding, and we enjoyed it a lot and at our reception people thought we danced really well.

we did this, but not the class specifically for first wedding dance, but just general ballroom classes. we ended up using a foxtrot for our first dance. it was well worth it...

MIT. No, really. Their ballroom club sponsors a series of very intro, very inexpensive lessons on Mondays. There's two sessions left, rumba is tomorrow, cha-cha is next week. Can pay at the door.

www.havetodance.com has a whole slew of listings for local dance classes. most of the listings are swing, but they also have tango, salsa, etc.

My fiance and I are taking lessons right now at the Fred Astaire dance studio in Belmont. It's kinda expensive, but the instructors there are top-notch. If anyone knows of anyone who can do individual choreography lessons for a particular song (in our case, Beyond the Sea) at a reasonable price, I'd be very interested in hearing about them.
