Parking Permit for Company Car
Aug. 17th, 2009 03:29 pmSo my company is providing me with a car which I bring home every night and keep on weekends, etc.
I can't find much about getting a permit for one of these on Somerville's website. Anyone have experience with this situation?
My work is not in Somerville, so it is registered out of town.

Date: 2009-08-18 05:38 pm (UTC)On the other hand, isn't there some sort of permit that's intended for contractors to use on their vehicles to do work in Somerville? I remember it being much more expensive than the normal permit but something like this exists. However, I don't know if they are valid overnight.
PS. Does this car have commercial plates? I know there's something about not being able to park commercial vehicles overnight, but don't know if it's any vehicle with commercial plates ( i.e. Zipcars, and many small businessmen's personal cars ) or only trucks.
For those interested...

The fact that it is owned by a company outside of the city will not matter. She did make it clear that the vehicle can not have any branding or signage on it in order to qualify.
