Anybody aware of a nearby purveyor of Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce (AKA "rooster sauce")?

I bought mine in the Asian foods section of Star Market in Porter, but I am unsure if it's always there

I used to get it at Super 88 in Brighton, but Shaws/Star Market carries it now. Sometimes it's in the meat section atop the freezers.

most of the local supermarkets seem to have it. Which do you want, the kind in the squeeze bottle or the kind in the squat cylindrical bottle?

The squat bottle is Sambal Oelek, not Sriracha. Both often have roosters on them.

My jar has a rooster, but doesn't say Sriracha or Sambal. It just says "Chili Garlic Sauce" and is from Huy Fong.

The larger supermarkets have it. Shaws in E Cambridge has it, the Stop and Shop in Malden has pretty much everything imaginable.
Also I highly recommend the cooking paste that comes in the jar, if you were deciding between that and the condiment that comes in the squeeze bottle.

I don't know that they have it but I would check Farmer's Bounty, the little grocery store next to Goodwill on Elm Street.

Interesting. I looked at a lot of grocery stores in the woburn/stoneham/wakefield area near my office and none of them had it. I'll have to check out the porter shaws.

You can add that to your list of reasons to live in the city instead of the suburbs.

Depends which suburb. The big Stop and Shop in Bedford/Hanscom has it. The one in Arlington does not.

I bought some at Pemberton's (probably more expensive than elsewhere, but it's what I could find on short notice).

The Reliable Market (Korean market) in Union Square has it.
All the C-Marts in Chinatown downtown have it, too.
