I posted to the Somerville Mom's group, but didn't get any replies. My son is just over three and its time to head him over to the dentist's to get a check up. Does anyone have any recommendations for a dentist that is good with toddlers?

Not sure if this will help, but perhaps if you google "pediatric dentistry" you might find something. I can recommend an awesome one, but unfortunatley, they're 50 miles away.
:( Sorry can't recommend anyone in the Davis area. Good luck!

If you check the archives of the SomervilleMoms group, you will find many recommendations and discussions. http://boston.doctoroogle.com may also be helpful. Two dentists to check out are Dr. Lally on College Avenue and Dr. Al-Aswad on Broadway.

I'll second the opinion on Dr. Lally!

I'll put a vote in for Dr. Al-Aswad in Teal Square. My daughter had her first dental cleaning there a few months ago and it went very well.

There's a great place in Medford Square that deals with kids that young.
Children's Dental Associates:

Request Dr. Frank if possible. He's the best!

There's some sort of pediactric dentist in Porter Square, upstairs above Uno and Pier One, near the Blockbuster. I don't have kids, so I have no recommendations, but they're definitely a child-oriented dentist.

It's Kool Smiles. I've heard nothing good about them.

Did you check your spam folder? I thought I saw several people respond to that post on SomervilleMoms. I take my kids to my dentsit, Casey Cook. He's not a pediatric dentist, but he's great with kids.

I had many recommendations to a place in Woburn, if that's not too far afield for you.

We've been using Pediatric Dental Associates on Beacon St. near Cleveland Circle since my son was 3. It's a bit of a hike, but my son loves going to the dentist. All the dentists and hygienists are great.

Dr. Mceachern (sp?) on Mass Ave. between Porter and Harvard Squares runs a good office, based on my experience with a now-6-year-old.
