BESIDES Poor Little Rich Girl and the Garment District, can anyone recommend good places to find vintage clothes in this general area? I'm specifically looking for women's clothing for a film-noir style photo shoot.

Artifaktori on College Ave. is small but fun.

Oona's in Harvard Square is a classic. Second Time Around has also started doing vintage, haven't checked it out yet though.

Vintage Revenge is new, on Mass. Ave just outside Harvard, going towards Central. If you're walking towards Central it's on the left. The stuff there is pricier, but already dry-cleaned and there's tons of it. The lady is also very knowledgeable about how to wear the clothes.

Artifaktori has all KINDS of stuff - old, new, refurbished, upcycled, ... just generally nifty.

I'd suggest Goodwill or Salvation Army

Artifaktori on College Ave in Davis Square...
You could also try Rasberry Beret on Mass Ave - they have a decent vintage section... or Boston Costume...
