Hello all,

Just figured a post might be worth a try...

I am looking for a part-time or full-time retail or restaurant job in or around Davis.

Anybody seen anything I might have missed?

Thanks so much,
Pet

Check Snagajob.com and craigslist.

I know I saw a restaurant in Teele Square with a Now Hiring sign a little while ago, but don't know if they are. This is, sadly, as helpful as I can be. But good luck!

The Help Wanted sign was at Amelia's in Teele Square.

hopefully your masterful service will mask their wretched food (i'm talking about amelia's)

Why "wretched"? I've found it pretty standard whenever I ate there.

Well it's just my opinion of course, but for Italian food in the area, I think Lil Vinny's, Pescatore, and Alfresco are all way better.

I've only been to Amelia's twice. The first time was for brunch, and I don't remember anything remarkable about the food. The service we received was horrendous. The coffee was served barely luke-warm. That was over three years ago, so I recently decided to give them another chance, since I was pretty sure that waitress no longer worked there. The service the 2nd time was fine. I'm pretty sure the bruschetta was served on sliced wonder bread, the 'mixed vegetables' that came with my chicken marsala were clearly frozen vegetables. The chicken itself was rather sinewy, suggesting frozen chicken rather than fresh and I guess my main issue is that they charge the same for their food as the other restaurants I mentioned. Just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Has anyone had their pizza?

The restaurant at the corner of Cutter + Highland has a help wanted sign in the window yesterday.

Check out the local paper classifieds...
http://www.wickedlocal.com/somerville/

I clicked on classifieds at the top, then jobs on the left, and it has both restaurants and retail, and you can narrow it by city. Maybe there will be something there that isn't on Craigslist.

Snappy Sushi had a Now Hiring sign for a couple of weeks. Definitely had it as recently as last week.

for these types of jobs, always worth just walking right in and asking, even if they don't have a sign up. This tactic is also a great way to see how nice/not nice they are about you asking if they've got work for you. :)
