A rainy night out
Sep. 2nd, 2002 11:04 pmNow I don't mean to sound like a commercial, but I just spent a few hours at The SomeDay Cafe... and I just fell in love with that place. I sat down and just drank in the atmosphere, as well as the tea. I wrote a stream-of-consciousness entry into my little notebook o' stuff, and finished two Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire strips.
My only regret was making an ass out of myself in front of the girl at the counter.
"Hello. I'd like a cup of tea, please."
"Okay sir, but first you have to figure out what kind of tea you want, then hand me the bottle you want."
"Oh. Okay!"
Thirty seconds later...
"All right. I'd like a cup of jasmine tea, please."
"That's great, sir... but you need to hand me the bottle."
"........oh. Right."
Oh well.
It happens to the best of us.

Date: 2002-09-02 11:30 pm (UTC)And yes, I highly recommend just chilling out there. It was especially nice during tonight's rainy night... looking out that big window at the people trudging by, with some nice hot tea in front of me.
Maybe you'll even see me there one of these days. Heaven knows I'm planning to go back there. Often.
