Another Davis Square area bulk purchase buy, this time for $10 for a $20 voucher at Lyndell's Bakery. I know some of the people in the Porter/Davis/Powderhouse area are quite devoted to them, so I figured I'd pass it on.

(for those who don't follow them, there are a number of sites that offer 'bulk buy' deals; ie, 'if 50 people buy this we all get the deal' type of things. I follow groupon, livingsocial and buywithme, and would be interested to know of others)

EDIT: the link above IS a referral code that they gave me; I purchased 2, and because of Davis Square people following the link, I am getting one of those free, which is the limit. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE people to post your post-purchase referral codes here (and read the comments), if you made a purchase, since referrals through my link above are now going into the bit bucket.

Have you used this site before? Or do you have experience with the others? I've looked at a number of these types of deals but always hesitated to buy them. I wasn't sure how reputable the sites were. Thanks!

this is my first purchase through livingsocial, though I know others who have used it. I've bought things through the others (including, NOMNOM $10 for $20 at Dave's Fresh Pasta last week through groupon, through someone else posting about it to this community. And there was a Finale deal in August that was well worth it).

I've never had the slightest problem with redeeming stuff; groupon has links on their website for you to print the offers from, and buywithme sends you a pdf for your purchase in email (I will now find out how Living Social deals with it ;-) )

I am torn between that, and groupon, which gives you $10 whenever a referral buys their first purchase. The $10 is pretty generous (I got two of them after referring people to groupon after that Dave's fresh pasta thing last week). It's only on their first purchase, but then it's $10 for just one referral, instead. It can't be used on the purchase that day, though.

There's also Tippr and Adilitydeal. Tippr usually has several deals going at once for Boston. I use www.groolu.com (http://www.groolu.com), it collects deals from Groupon, LivingSocial, Tippr and AdilityDeal and displays them all on one page.
