I thought I saw one advertise at last Wednesday's Davis Sq farmer's market, but I didn't take notes since I wasn't personally interested. If I see them again this Wednesday, I'll take down the info and respond here.
i have a winter CSA through Enterprise Farm - they have a drop-off at Kickass Cupcakes/The Dairy Bar on Highland Ave. near Davis. http://www.enterpriseproduce.com
I don't think the early winter share from Red Fire Farm is open to new subscribers - I'm in it right now. The deep winter share is only January - March and also includes other local food (cheese, relish, pickles). Kind of cool, but if you're looking for just produce Enterprise is probably better - I'm going with them for the winter season, as their share goes from December - May.
I used Enterprise last year and it was excellent (I did the Arlington pickup). It is not 100% local but includes citrus from small organic farms in Florida. Since we would buy citrus in winter anyway, I'm happy to support small organic vs. MegaFarm. Since it is a new winter CSA (this is the second year) they are adding more and more % of local as demand grows. So it is not a traditional CSA, but it works very well for winter (although there is always the OMG I have too much kale!!1!! CSA drama - I am very happy when the markets re-open in spring as that's a better model for me personally!)
