where to find seeds?

Does anyone know where I can find tomato, basil and hot pepper seeds this time of year? Or alternatively, does anyone have some remainder seeds from last year that they would be willing to give or sell me for a reasonable price?

I looked at Tags in Porter, but they had a random stock of seeds, none of the kind I am looking for.

I'd ask at Pemberton Farms.

Pemberton Farms doesn't re-stock their seeds past earlyish summer. I had a conversation with them about it once. It's pretty annoying given how many things can be planted around here later than that.

In any case, as for hot pepper and tomato, one option to get some and seed them yourself. It's a bit of a process with tomatoes, but not too big a deal.

I'll second the bit about collecting seeds from produce you buy, except in the case of tomatoes: It's hard to find good tomatoes to start with! Maybe at a farmer's market...

At this point the tomatoes in a farmer's market are going to be from hothouses, and this week is the last farmer's market anywhere until the spring.
