This is the final week of the Global Lens Film Series and it may go down as the best local film series that nobody has seen. You can blame it on the schedule, the location, the obscure nature of the films, logistics problems (room changes, a power outage, schedule mistakes). I've seen some good (and some head-scratching) films that I'll probably never have the chance to see again and the crowds have been tiny.
Take a chance this week and see some interesting movies (though I'll admit, most aren't uplifting). There are six films from around the world waiting for you this week at the top of the hill.
Here's a link to the schedule: http://ase.tufts.edu/ir/eventsGlobalLens.htm
Everything's on my calendar as well.
All screenings are free and open to the public.
* Tufts Global Lens Film Series:
+ The Photograph (Indonesia), Weds. 8 pm
+ Margarette's Feast (Brazil), Thurs. 8 pm
+ Possible Lives (Argentina), Fri. 7 pm
+ I am from Titov Velles (Macedonia), Sat. 7 pm
+ What a Wonderful World (Morocco), Sun. 2 pm
+ Song from the Southern Seas (Kazakhstan), Sun. 3:30 pm
x-posted to freescreenings
