bagel help

Hi! I am moving to the area in January, from a land void of a decent bagel. How are the bagels there? Where should I get them?

Honestly, I've had bagels in New York, and mostly they taste the same as bagels anywhere else. The only difference is if you go to a Jewish deli or something similar, but that's true of pretty much anywhere else, as well.
