A long shot -- all-day Silent Night?

Some years ago, sitting in egregious traffic on Christmas Eve, I happened to find a radio station that was playing nothing but "Silent Night" for the whole day. It amused the hell out of my husband and me for a good long time. (The Japanese Girl band techno fusion version remains my favorite.) 

I have looked, sporadically, since then for the radio station. I think it was a college station? It was definitely very local -- we lost it once we were much past Wellesley. Since all of my usual radio listening is NPR, I don't even know where to start and was hoping to appeal to the collective wisdom of the Davis Sq. community. 

Of course, it could be that it was something that station did only once, or that a bored DJ did, but I really hope it's an annual event. I'd love to listen to it tomorrow as I start baking my 8 batches of cookies!

I think she means different versions of the song...

And to actually address the question, I wonder if it was someone on WMFO (in which case, I'd say the chances are slim of finding a repeat performance.)

also sounds like the kind of thing WHRB would do as part of the Winter Orgy -- but again, not likely to repeat from year to year.

Ha! Yes, I meant different versions. I have actually, since then, tried to compile a long list of different performers doing Silent Night but let's face it, I'm never going to find that Japanese girl band.

I'll check out WMFO tomorrow.

It wasn't WMBR, although I did play two hours of Little Drummer Boy (http://www.track-blaster.com/wmbr/playlist.php?id=1054#rec29783) a couple of years ago.

Little Drummer Boy is actually my husband's favorite holiday song. I'll have to see if I can't play these for him today!
